A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form. Use this time to prepare to evacuate. Pack a "go-bag" with essentials you can grab quickly, including medications, identification, chargers, a battery pack, important documents, and water.
A tornado warning means a tornado has been sighted and there is imminent danger. Take action immediately. Leave your RV immediately and head to the designated storm shelter. Do not attempt to drive away from the storm, as tornadoes are erratic and fast-moving. Do not go under an overpass. This is an extremely dangerous place to take shelter during a tornado. The winds can create a dangerous tunnel effect.
